Art Installations that Dazzle!

moonGARDEN

The dazzling marquee light installation, moonGARDEN will call Celebration Square home from November 23, 2024 through to January 6, 2025. Created in 2012 by Lucion, moonGARDEN has seen by more than a million people, touring the world, from Lyon’s Fête des Lumières to Brussels, Medellin, Beijing, and now Mississauga.

Featuring four majestic spheres that host delicate shadow theatres and soundscapes, this light installation is without doubt an invitation to dream, and celebrates a more inclusive world.

Rainbow Tunnel

Step into the rainbow for the perfect picture with a loved one. Made with hundreds of LED lights, this tunnel will transport you to a brighter place!

Glow Dome

Watch the lights dance and colours change through the Square’s own Glow Dome. It’s reflective panels and inviting seating are sure to make you stop & sit for a selfie.

Skate on the Square

The Celebration Square ice rink will open November 23, 2024 (weather dependent), and is free and open to the public.

Open Daily: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Ice Rink Holiday Hours
  • Christmas Eve (December 24, 2024): 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Christmas Day (December 25, 2024): Noon – 6 p.m.
  • New Year’s Eve (December 31, 2024): 10 a.m. – 11 p.m.
  • New Year’s Day (January 1, 2025): Noon – 8 p.m.

Skate schedule is subject to change.

Celebration Square is an outdoor rink that may need to close temporarily during periods of heavy snow or warmer temperatures. To confirm the rink is open, call 905-615-3200 ext. R-I-N-K (7465). To see how busy the ice rink is, view the live webcam.

Participants must follow the Skaters Code of Conduct while using the ice rink.
