Halloween Harvest

Join the Museums of Mississauga this fall and experience a festive mash up of all our favourite fall traditions. From historic Halloween crafts and treats, to harvest customs and seasonal foods, pre-registration tickets are available for a variety of events at Bradley Museum and Benares Historic House.

Join us at Benares Historic House to make some seasonal historic crafts and decorations, learn about celebrations from 100 years ago and play some old-fashioned games. The event is exclusive for ages 6-9.

Put on your costume and join us at Bradley Museum where you’ll participate in old-fashioned Halloween and harvest traditions including:

  • Harvest knowledge from Indigenous Elder Mark Sault (Migizi Gikinoo’amaagew Inini) of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation
  • Games
  • Crafts
  • Scavenger hunt with a prize
  • Harvest food and treats from the garden
  • Live music

Drop your pumpkin off at Bradley Museum for a last hurrah! Wander our pumpkin-lit path while enjoying spooky music. Complete a scavenger hunt and get a prize.

Painting With Nature: Zishuo Li
July 2 | 12 pm – 4 pm
Participants in this workshop will be introduced to plant-based pigments, mineral pigments, and a variety of natural binders. We will share a demonstration of making watercolour, oil paint and encaustic with natural materials. Participants can make their own paint from supplied materials and create works with it on their choice of paper or canvas board. Register here.
